Happy New Year 2007!!!

Wishing you one and all,

A very happy new year 2007

AKEMASHITE OMEDETOU GOZAIMASU

Stumped!

Last tuesday me was at a training session. Due to technical difficulties the start of the training was delayed. In the meanwhile me was having a chat with the trainer. This man after asking what me was doing and he was doing, bowled a googly (this was a googly for me!).
He just asked, "hey, I am from Pune. You tell me 3 things which are famous in Bangalore/Karanataka. So that i could take this home, back to Pune".

Me: Hmm.... good question Sir! But then when me started thinking, me hardly had an answer. 3 things, uh.... ok then........................... you can buy......................uh..............OK! Handicrafts.

He: (immediately replied)hey are u talking about the ones available at Cauvery Handicrafts, MG road ?

Me: Well,,.... no Sir, don't go and buy over there, it meant only for foreigners and not ordinary Indians.
Then..... how about..... (then a colleague of mine pitched in and said...hey, you can buy Silk sarees and sandolwood idols. Karnataka is famous for these two items!

But end of it all, me was not able to figure out 3 good things which are uniquely Bangalore or Karnataka.

Atleast in this case, it was a fellow Indian asking this. Imagine what would be the situation if a foreigner had asked this.

Well food for thought for you guys..... Tell me 3 things which one can buy in Bangalore which are uniquely Bangalore or Karnataka. Something genuine and reasonably affordable for an average Indian (non-Bangalorean). Your thoughts and comments are welcome.

P.S: Pls don't mention KF or UB as Vijay Mallya is based in b'lore.
